A few changes potentially of interest to St. Louis area listeners…

K287BY 105.3 St. Louis has switched from retransmitting KXFN 1380 to retransmitting KFUO 850 after a purchase by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. With transmitter facilities now located at KTVI/KPLR in the Sappington area, rather than at the former transmitter site in Brentwood, reception is weaker at my location allowing WAOX to again be the dominant station on 105.3.  KFUO’s station ID also mentions a station on 92.7, but I have never logged it; at my location I still get Covenant Network’s W224DC, and I have received WZVA Herrin and KLOZ Eldon on 92.7 in other parts of St. Louis County in the last 48 hours.

Furthermore, KXFN 1380 now carries a music format operated by the LCMS. I am not aware of any FM retransmission of the new KXFN.

The LCMS also holds a construction permit for a class C3 station in Troy, MO on 89.7. The current permit indicates the station will have a directional signal to the northwest.
