I was driving around Florissant yesterday evening around 9 PM listening to the weak but audible signal of KXFN 1380 (St. Louis), with a 1000 watt night signal located on the other end of the metro area from my location. However, there was significant heavy interference from an EWTN Radio affiliate, sometimes to the point that the EWTN signal fully took over the frequency.
A cursory search of EWTN affiliates suggests that this may have been WPYR Baton Rouge, however, WPYR is supposed to turn the power down to 62 watts at night. Seems perhaps that didn’t happen last night?
